Progress on the New Wanapum Heritage Center

A vision is being realized on the banks of the Columbia, on a site between two dams, overlooking the heart of their homeland, with the creation of their Heritage Center.  The Wanapum once ranged over rivers and lands that now lie in other hands.  A small group, they wish to share their story. With pride we have worked with them, through thick and thin, over 15 years to help them realize their identity and continue their traditions in an increasingly complex and modern world.

Their credo recognizes and respects the river, the land and all things living therein.

As we approach the completion of their vision we would like to share and celebrate with images of the Center as we get closer to opening day.
