Harvest Celebration at Merridale

On Thursday evening Bill and Amy were lucky enough to attend the Harvest Long Table dinner at Merridale Ciderworks.  The event, in honour of  ÉCONOMUSÉE BC Artisans at Work, celebrated the traditional craftsmanship at Merridale Ciderworks.   Owners Janet Docherty and Rick Pipes gave a tour of the Orchard, Cidery and Distillery and gave us a sample of two new products including Stair's Pear Brandy.  Dinner was served on the enclosed cider deck and included a pig roasted in the wood fired brick oven and sides made with local ingredients.
