Extreme Makeover: Hazelwood Herb Farm Boutique

Our team has worked closely with Barbara Stevens and her team to redesign her boutique interior.  Amy Willson, Project Designer, worked closely with Tom Palfrey, Senior Designer and mentor to us all, to chose colours and finishes.  Bill Message worked out design details of the metalwork for shelving fabrication and we are grateful to Marty and Ava at Foggy Mountain Forge for their outstanding work and incredibly fast production of all metalwork components required for both the boutique and the garden interpretation.  Huge thanks to Pascale Knoglinger for finding such talent on such short notice! Bill also created the center table, enhancing products and ambience alike. Yvette André created the beautiful rendering to help Barbara and her team understand the design proposed.  Bianca oversaw the process, guiding and project managing the André & Associates Team as well as coordinating subcontractors.

Today was the first day of the extreme makeover... above is a photo of part of the finished boutique.

Welcome Northern Alberta Institute of Technology Intern: Genevieve Simms

This week our team welcomed design intern Genevieve Simms from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology.

Genevieve has worked on both of our secret pilot projects which will open this Spring and Summer... stay tuned for more on these later!  Although Genevieve's internship was short she was here long enough to make a great impression.  We are sad to see this talented young designer head off to Belgium, but look forward to connecting up again when she returns!

Many thanks to Donald Moar Genevieve's Architectural Technology Instructor, NAIT School of Sustainable Building and Environmental Management who facilitated this internship.  Genevieve, we wish you the best of luck in Europe!  Please keep in touch!
