Museum of South Texas History Receives National Recognition

André & Associates would like to congratulate the Museum of South Texas History for receiving Accreditation from the American Alliance of Museums (AAM).

"AAM Accreditation is the field’s primary vehicle for quality assurance, self-regulation and public accountability and earns national recognition for a museum for its commitment to excellence in all that it does: governance, collections stewardship, public programs, financial stability, high professional standards and continued institutional improvement. Developed and sustained by museum professionals for 35 years, AAM’s Museum Accreditation program strengthens the profession by promoting practices that enable leaders to make informed decisions, allocate resources wisely and to provide the best possible service to the public."

André & Associates designed the exhibits for the Museum - below are some photos of the completed exhibit

Mountain Plains Museum Association's Annual Conference

Bianca is heading to the Mountain Plains Museum Association's Annual Conference in Lincoln, Nebraska next week.

She will be presenting with Johnpaul Jones and Bruce Arnold from Jones and Jones Architects in the session: Stronger Together—Ensuring Community Involvement.

The Session explains the innovative approach and resulting institution for three different projects that serve as bridges between cultures, communities, businesses, individuals, governments, and corporations. It is a session that is extremely relevant for museums, cultural and visitor centers as they desire to move forward in these very difficult economic times. It reveals best practices in the field of fundraising, architecture, multimedia and interpretive exhibit design. A key focus is on involving diverse communities as well as stimulating economic development.
