New Architecture on Indigenous Lands

AAID is pleased to have two of our projects (Makah Cultural & Research Center and Ziibiwing Center of Anishinabe Culture & Lifeways) featured in the book New Architecture on Indigenous Lands by Joy Monice Malna.   The book is a "...virtual tour of recent Native building projects in Canada and the western and midwestern United States, New Architecture on Indigenous Lands conducts readers through cultural centers and schools, clinics and housing, and even a sugar camp, all while showing how tribal identity is manifested in various distinctive ways."

New Architecture on Indigenous Lands was listed on John Hill’s prestigious New York blogsite, Archidose, as one of 35 architecture books he recommends as gifts for the holiday season.
